Project Management: Decontamination and Disposal of Arsenic Waste

发布时间:2024-04-22 发布者:

The microelectronics industry has applied an epitaxial process that involves depositing elements in a nanolayer to form a special crystal structure. One of the most widely used elements in this technology is arsenic. During operation, arsenic pollution spreads to the entire process equipment, production areas (cleanrooms, air conditioning), and administrative areas.

CURIUM has decontaminated a clean room (2000 square meters), a storage workshop (300 square meters), and equipment (280 tons) contaminated with arsenic.

The sampling plan and pollution threshold have been determined. We have developed decontamination methods based on different types of surfaces. CURIUM is responsible for designing decontamination operations in dust-free rooms, non breathing environments (containing arsenic and phosphorus), and on phosphorus containing equipment.

The CURIUM team packaged or removed waste for transportation, and tracked and ensured the transportation and final disposal of waste abroad.
