After conducting various tests in July 2013 to determine suitable decontamination methods, CURIUM intervened in 2017 to perform decontamination operations on all laboratory surfaces contaminated with cadmium and tellurium.

In 2013, the first task of the project was to conduct a study to select the optimal decontamination solution, which included:

Research on decontamination schemes for different elements;

Determination of analytical methods;

Conduct decontamination solution testing on different surfaces and solutions at the customer's site;

After selecting the optimal decontamination method, regularly carry out decontamination and purification operations for customers. At the end of the work, an inspection was conducted to verify the decontamination and purification status of all areas. The results showed that the amount of pollutants decreased by 3 to 65 times.
