During the process of soil remediation at an industrial site, it was discovered that the soil contained naturally occurring radioactive isotopes, CURIUM was then hired to provide technical support. A total of 1350 tons of soil were contaminated by this radioactive nuclide on site.

The tasks of CURIUM include evaluating conducted radiation diagnostics, conducting EQER (Radiation Exposure Assessment) to determine the possibility and methods of retaining contaminated soil on the original site for future use. CURIUM has determined the best management solution from a technical and financial perspective, based on regulatory frameworks, and assisted project owners in implementing the formulated plan.
