Emergency response: repackaging of lithium

A metal ball weighing about 2 tons containing unknown substances suddenly appeared on a beach in southern England. Laboratory analysis conducted after on-site sampling showed that the metal ball contained 98% lithium. After conducting preliminary technical research and risk analysis, and fully considering the risks of fire and explosion, CURIUM designed and implemented the cutting of metal shells and related safety protection. All the lithium in the metal balls was finally loaded into a 5-kilogram bucket and transported to a suitable disposal facility for disposal.
