A coastal industrial base houses 9 old 800 liter chlorine gas cylinders. Due to storage time and the influence of ocean atmosphere, steel cylinders are severely corroded. A HAZOP study conducted prior to construction concluded that these steel cylinders containing chlorine gas posed a danger to workers on the industrial base and nearby residents.

CURIUM Company processed chlorine gas on-site by opening holes under pressure and replaced completely corroded valves, and then treated the chlorine gas with soda solution in a mobile gas scrubber.
