The customer owns a small vertical furnace containing beryllium residue. Before carrying out the decontamination operation, isolation zones were set up to prevent cross contamination. During the furnace opening process, continuous vacuum cleaners were installed to capture beryllium dust. Then follow the steps agreed upon by the customer to decontaminate:

Internal surface of the suction furnace;

Using wet methods to remove pollution;

By using fixatives to remove as much beryllium as possible from the pores of refractory bricks, the goal of decontamination is achieved.
